Curiosity with constraints
Unexpected form is explored alongside mounting, heat, cleaning, glare and service access. Constraints are design inputs rather than late-stage objections.

Established 1991
Moooi develops expressive objects for interiors while recognizing the practical work required to specify, procure and install them. Our role is to make design intent discussable through scale, material, light and integration information.
Give interior designers access to memorable lighting forms and a clear route from visual selection to technical review. A product image begins the conversation; drawings, configuration data, samples and controls coordination establish whether the idea belongs in a specific room.
We avoid treating a nominal wattage or lumen value as the whole lighting outcome. Surface reflectance, mounting height, beam distribution, adjacent layers and the eye’s adaptation all change perception.
Separate what is published from what must be confirmed. Family-level information supports early design, while order-specific voltage, driver, finish, suspension and compliance requirements belong in the approval record.
UL, CE and RoHS references apply only where stated for the selected product and market; one mark does not imply every configuration is certified in every geography.

Selection notes and open questions move with the project so that procurement and installation teams can see the assumptions behind an approved visual.
IES or LDT files, LM-79 data and lifetime projections are used when available and relevant. A decorative image is never presented as photometric proof.
Finish care, replacement access and driver location are discussed before handover. Maintenance implications vary with ceiling height and installation complexity.

Our teams connect object design, lighting knowledge, project communication and delivery discipline. The work rewards people who can ask precise questions without flattening a creative idea.
